The Goal

• Understand the basics of resistors and their colour-coded values

Review

• Voltage (V), Amperage ("current" A or I), Wattage (W)

  • Power (Watts) = Volts x Amps

• Resisting electrons forces atoms to shake, creating heat 🔥 and potentially light 💡

• Resistance is measured in Ohms

  • Ohm's law:  V = IR   where R represents resistance value in Ohms

• The symbol for one Ohm is "omega":  Ω
